Marcia Walsh is board certified by the ANCC as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Marcia developed her nursing career after graduating with her BSN from Rivier College and graduating Summa Cum Laude with her MSN from Mass General Institute of Health Profession. Marcia has developed advanced skills as an NP over the past 20 years with 15 years focused on Internal Medicine. For the past 10 years, Marcia has devoted her time to developing the next generation of nurse practitioners as a clinical preceptor for students from UMass Lowell, Endicott College, Rivier University, and Boston College. Marcia has a passion for the evaluation and treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux disease (GERD) after her daughter was diagnosed 10 years ago. She understands the significant impact GERD has on a person’s quality of life. Her other interests are in pancreatic and biliary disease. Marcia strives to empower her patients through education to understand their medical conditions and treatment options to live their best life.
When not working, Marcia enjoys spending free time with her family, running, hiking, baking and traveling.
